Pine
Cleaning and disinfecting properties have been described for the essential oils of many pine species. They are therefore suitable for supporting coughs and irritations of the upper respiratory tract.
Description
All pine species produce various essential oils such as terpenes or terpinol. These are obtained by distilling the needles and bark. The main components of pine needles include α-terpineol (30.2%), linalool (24.47%), limonene (17.01%), anethole (14.57%), caryophyllene (3.14%), and eugenol (2.14%).
Properties
Due to the disincentive characteristics of essential pine oil, it can be used to refresh and clean the upper airways and support a healthy breathing process from inside and outside.

Support of a healthy function of the respiratory tract, especially the upper airways.

- According to the EFSA, pine essential oil under assessment is safe up to the maximum proposed use levels of 50 mg/kg for horses
- Pine needle essential oil has antioxidant activity in scavenging free radicals on top
